Theriak
Challenging, daring, authentic

8 January - 11 March 2008

In the past season, Merg surprised audiences with its innovative theatricality: dancers who acted, singers who danced, using the rich and complex dance language of Leine & Roebana to tell a story. Merg, a work about love, brought the emotions of the public under its spell with its compelling music, superb voices, energetic dancing and evocative staging.

After Merg, love will never be the same.
In the same way, war and doom are consigned to the past by Theriak.
In this work about human urges, Leine & Roebana employ all of the theatrical and physical means dance has at its disposal to root out all evil.

Theriak, whose name is derived from the Greek, therion (= wild animal), is a medicine, used in the middle ages as an antidote for all ailments and deficiencies.

Following its stay at the Bellevue, it will go on tour until the middle of March.
